Hotshot
I stand accused of being a hotshot…
I turn up late for the freestyle after the class has finished, sit out lots of dances and only dance to certain songs, with only some of the dancers I know. I also have the hotshot shoes. Shame I’m not actually good enough.
Well the reason for my anti-social behaviour tonight (as opposed to any other night!) is I’m still having to be careful with my wrist. Doing the class and dancing with some people could have hurt, so I decided to be a hotshot for the night.
I didn’t turn anybody down for a dance, but as I didn’t get asked much, that was OK.
I wasn’t dancing half as well as last week I thought. I knew it couldn’t last.
Still had a few really lovely dances though, and it was good to see some of my friends. Definitely worth going.
What do you think though? Guilty of hotshotism? I hope the judge is lenient.

I don’t think your a hotshot if you didn’t actually turn anyone down for dance. You’ll have to do better… such as turn down a beginner who has just finally built up the confidence to ask you if you want to be a hotshot. I think what you did (not testing your injury too much) was very wise; I doubt I’d have the willpower.
As for not feeling you were dancing as well; I go through that a lot. I was having quite a few “average” nights but I had a really good one last night. Wish I could work out all the factors that make a night great for me

I thought you were dancing just as well last night… in fact I enjoyed our dances EVEN more than last week.
I’ve noticed a difference in your dancing since the Beach Ballroom weekend (Amir was great, wasn’t he?)… you’re more confident… ’s good
As for being a hotshot…. you’re well on your way
