Popped down to the GUU for the freestyle tonight (trying to take it easy this week so I’m fit for Southport.)

Had quite a good night. It was relatively quiet, but not too bad. Still lots of folks I wanted to dance with.

Got to dance – more than once! – with the famous forumite who I missed last night. She commented about the unusual selection of music on offer at the GUU. Think she mostly liked it – though I agree with her about Shania… But the music was all pretty much what I’m used to there, and I usually enjoy it… We had fun dancing to ‘Ich Will’ as the last song…

Also of note was “I Drove All Night”, sung by Cyndi Lauper. I have previously advocated this as a good song to dance to. Have I heard it played at a freestyle before? Probably, just not sure…

Managed to invent a nice new comb move tonight… And was then told that another dancer does this move all the time, so I probably saw him do it on Sunday. Oh well, cool move nonetheless.

So, good dancers + good music = good dances and a Good Night.
