Sauna
Jj’s tonight, and what a sauna! Either their air-conditioning is a joke, or they’re not bothering to turn it on properly for us!
As they don’t have any punters in after us, I wonder if they figure they’ll save a bit of money by not running the air conditioning fully.
Normally at the front of the floor you can really feel the cold air being blown down, but there was only a hint of air flow tonight. Not so across at the bar, where the staff are, and where cold air was being blown much as normal. Shame we couldn’t dance there…
As a result the room was unbearably hot, except it wasn’t because we’re all mad addicted dancers and we’ll put up with anything to dance. 
Not a bad night of dancing either… Won’t go down in the books, but still a good night.
Started the night again mid-way through the beginners’ class with a practice session with my partner. Also took time during the intermediate class to work on some more stuff… I think these sessions tonight were very useful – maybe only making baby steps, but it’s getting us somewhere… During our freestyle dances I was able to use a few of our practice moves, and also thought we were dancing better together – more connected. Planning another wee session tomorrow… 
Besides all that, had lots of good dances. Lots of my favourite partners were missing tonight, but I didn’t let that affect my night too much. Was good to see back at JJ’s a friend who hadn’t been there for what felt like ages. Had a couple of super dancers with her – she’s just fab.
